Memorial Day 2004 It was a beautiful day in Augusta. The cemetery had many visitors.
- The Luttrull family held their 72nd Memorial Day service.
- The American Legion played Taps and gave a 21-Gun Salute at the grave.

- The Augusta Cemetery Association held its annual meeting.
The meeting was reported by several individuals as a total fiasco,
with political in-fighting, back-biting, a total disregard for parlimentary procedure and association bylaws, and one disgusted trustee resigning.
Many members left before the meeting concluded.
