 Harold B. Thomas, Secretary and Treasurer of Augusta Cemetery, died Thursday June 24, 2004 11:34 A.M. at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN.
Harold was born on September 1, 1928 in Augusta, IN to Granis & Vona (Brown) Thomas.
Harold was a long time Trustee of the Augusta Cemetery and was instrumental in producing the pictures and burial information on this website.
Harold was preceded in death by his brother James Elwood Thomas.
Harold is survived by his wife of 55 years, Myrtle Lucille (Craig) Thomas.
Harold and Lucille were married on June 4, 1949.
Harold is survived also by his:
- Daughter Valerie Jean Thomas of Palermo, ME and her 7 children
- Daughter Malinda Knight of Illinois and her 2 children and 1 step-child
- Son Michael and his wife Carmela Thomas of Methuen, MA and their 3 children
- Son Jeffrey and his wife Linda Thomas of Princeton, IN and their 4 children
- Five great-grandchildren
- Sister Sandra Miller of Mt. Carmel, IL
- Sister Nancy Gilmour, of Winslow, IN
- Brother Doyle Thomas, of Mattoon, IL
- Brother Larry Thomas, of Decatur, IL
- Brother Richard Thomas, of Conway, SC
- Brother Roger Thomas, of Washington, IN
Funeral Services will be Monday, June 28, 2004 2:00 P.M.
Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel in Oakland City, IN.
Burial will be in Augusta Cemetery, Augusta, IN with Rev. Rodney Walls officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:00-9:00 P.M. Sunday, June 28, 2004 and
Monday, June 28, 2004 from 8:00 A.M. until services.
