Memorial Day 2005
It was a beautiful day in Augusta. The cemetery had many visitors.
- The Luttrull family held their 73rd Memorial Day service.
- The American Legion played Taps and gave a 21-Gun Salute at the grave of Cpl. Darrell Lee Smith.

- The Augusta Cemetery Association held its annual meeting. New trustees were elected. The trustees elected a new president.
Many members left before the meeting concluded.
Note: 2006 Augusta Cemetery Association Annual Meeting Moved To 9:00 AM
To increase participation in the Augusta Cemetery Association annual meeting, the trustees proposed and passed a motion to move the meeting time to 9:00 AM, before the Memorial Day service.
